Volunteering

Volunteering at our homes is an experience of a lifetime.

Mi Casa for Children & Elderly offers both long-term (one year) as well as short-term (one week) volunteering opportunities. You can read about both of these below.

For those that have served, their lives have been forever changed. The love and goodness of the children and the elderly touches your heart in a special way. You will receive much more than you can ever give to the residents. There are many ways to help at our homes. With hundreds of children and dozens of elderly, the opportunities to serve are countless.

Long-term Opportunities

Our long-term opportunities are for a minimum commitment of one year. Following are just some of the ways that you can serve:

  • Caregiver for elderly – providing care to elderly and chronically ill patients.
  • House parent – “Parenting” children by teaching hygiene, coordinating activities, supervising chores, helping with homework, and more.
  • Maintenance Person – providing maintenance at the home, including carpentry, painting, electrical and handyman tasks.
