Additional Ways To Give (click below to expand)
Many companies will match charitable gifts made by their employees. To increase the impact of your giving, request a Matching Gift Form from your or your spouse’s company.
Some companies have programs for employees to make donations to designated charities through a scheduled payroll deduction. Please ask your employer whether this convenient method of giving is available.
A will presents an opportunity to give a gift that will keep on giving after your death. Mi Casa can be a beneficiary of your will. If you would like to leave a percentage or specific dollar amount to the organization, you can add a codicil (addendum) to your present will or a line in your future will that states, “I bequeath the sum of (specify dollar or percentage amount) of my estate to Mi Casa for Children and Elderly, 15600 San Pedro Ave Ste 401, San Antonio, TX, 78232.” If you have any questions or would like to name Mi Casa for Children and Elderly as a beneficiary in your will, please contact us.
Gifts of Stocks and Securities
The gift of stocks and securities is very simple and can provide even greater tax benefits than a cash gift of equal value. Gifts of long-term appreciated securities, owned for more than one year, can provide significant tax advantages. Please call us if you would like to make a gift of stocks or securities.
You can donate a life insurance policy to Mi Casa for Children and Elderly or name us as the beneficiary. Please call us if you would like to make a gift through your life insurance policy.
